What's it all about?

15 years ago Fred decided to invite some of his friends to join him for a picnic and to make some music. They all had so much fun the summer tradition of The Fred Eaglesmith Annual Charity Picnic was born.

Now, each year Fred is sent CDs from all across Canada and the United States by some great musicians who would like to come out and play to a great crowd for a great cause. Fred calls up some of these folks, and a few of his close friends too. They pour in by van and car and set up tents, then miraculously, music lovers from all over arrive to share the weekend. All of the money that is raised by this event is donated to registered charities. For the second year this event will focus on supporting bio- diversity:

Catfish Creek Conservation Authority which is mandated to ensure the conservation, restoration, and responsible management of Ontario’s water, land, and natural habitats through programs that balance human and environmental needs

.The Long Point Basin Land Trust. The Long Point Basin Land Trust preserves habitat through: land ownership, land management activities and other legal instruments. It also provides opportunities for people to reconnect with nature through hands-on experience.

If you're coming you need to know...
